COVID-19 Update
Updated: June 2, 2020
The Maples at Warner has a longstanding commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff. As we continue to assess and respond to the challenges facing all of us due to COVID-19, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our core values of safety and customer service.
We look forward to welcoming guests back to our New Hampshire B & B, but there will be changes to the guest experience to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on property. The following health and safety protocols, which meet all guidelines issued by public health agencies and the American Hotel Lodging Association, will help us ensure that every precaution is taken to keep each guest safe while still providing an unforgettable stay. As we all navigate our reopening together, we ask for your patience as some of these policies may evolve to best meet the needs of our guests while adhering to provided guidelines.
The Maples at Warner Guest:
- Social Distancing: All guests and staff members must limit the potential of physical contact as much as possible. Additionally, the front desk and public areas will require guests to practice social distancing with 6 feet of separation.
- Facemasks: Guests are required to bring and wear facemasks at all times while indoors unless consuming food or beverages. Facemasks are not required outdoors if social distancing measures are maintained unless speaking with another person who is not of your personal party (i.e. resort staff or other guests)
- Guest Wellness: Any guest who appears ill will not be permitted to enter the B & B or any of its on-property facilities. We encourage guests who are not feeling well to visit The Maples at Warner at another time.
- Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent hand washing is required to help combat the spread of germs and viruses. Hand sanitation stations will be available throughout the B & B.
Staff:
- Public Spaces: There will be increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in all public spaces with a focus on counters, door handles, and public bathrooms.
- Ongoing Training: The housekeeping team is receiving ongoing training to meet new cleaning and hygiene protocols. Additionally, the entire staff has completed enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
- Facemasks: Innkeepers are required to wear facemask while in the presence of guests and follow the NH DHHS standards for food preparation safety.
General B & B:
- Modified Housekeeping Services: All guestrooms will be cleaned, sanitized, and sealed prior to arrival. To ensure safety, the hotel staff will not re-enter any guestroom once checked-in, including housekeeping. Any special requests from housekeeping, such as fresh towels, will need to be made upon request.
- Breakfast: Breakfast will be served either in the dining room, with seating spaced to adhere to spacing requirements, or a continental basket served in room will be provided to guests requesting to eat privately.
- Private Spaces: Guests will respect that some areas in the Inn are reserved for family members and not accessible to guests during their stay. We are currently care-takers for health-sensitive individuals and their safety, as well as yours, are our top priority.
We understand this may cause some inconveniences, but please be patient while we continue to make updates as guidelines are revised.
As always, we look forward to welcoming you to our New England paradise and hope you enjoy the fresh air, wide open spaces, and friendly faces serving you. If you have any questions about these procedures or would like to speak to us directly, please call 603-456-6275.
What travelers should be doing to keep themselves safe:
- Follow the experts: We recommend you stick with a few trust-worthy sources of information for the latest news and travel advice.
- Monitor your health: Keep an eye out for symptoms like a dry cough, trouble breathing and an elevated body temperature.
- Clean your hands: Frequent and thorough handwashing for at least 20 seconds. Keep from spreading germs and is also deemed a particularly important way to avoid Coronavirus (COVID-19). If there is no handwashing and soap available, use hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your face: Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose, and clean your hands immediately after. That's an easy way to keep germs from getting in to your system.
- Cough smartly and gently: Common sense coughing etiquette can really help here as well-cough into your elbow.
Cancellations due to known, foreseeable, or expected events, epidemics, or fear of travel are generally not honored. Therefore, we recommend that you get full travel insurance to cover yourself against any other disruptions that may happen. Your travel insurance should also cover you if your flights get cancelled or you can't go ahead with any other services booked for your vacation. We recommend
AllianzTravelInsurance.com,
TravelGuard.com, and
TravelexInsurance.com. It is important that you familiarize yourself with the insurance provider's terms in respect to travel cancellations prior to purchase.
Sincerely,
Cheryl & Hank
